A protective glove is an item of personal protective equipment that protects the hand or any part of the hand from hazards. It may also cover part of the forearm. Some of the terms used in technical permeation testing and in the dermatological field need some clarification TPE gloves.

Degradation can be defined as the loss of integrity of the glove membrane due to chemical interaction with the penetrating or exposing chemical. It is caused either by contact with skin­irritating chemicals, i.e., irritant contact dermatitis, or allergens, i.e., allergic contact dermatitis, or both in combination. Patch test is a clinical diagnostic test performed for the diagnosis of an allergic dermatitis. Usually done on the back. Skin prick test is a clinical diagnostic test performed for the diagnosis of an immediate skin reaction.
